We drove about 4 hours to our next location, Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, near Jamestown, Kentucky. After our last premium location, we were disappointed to find uneven, rutted campsites with minimal privacy. We were one of only a handful of campers here but we had to give a score of about 3/10. The saving grace here were the large public bathrooms and shower rooms.
An almost empty campground.
This is site 64. It took a while to scope out a site because the sites were all so short, uneven and in disrepair. We ended up being pretty happy with this one.
Out and about enjoying the sights.
Wolf Creek Dam
This is one of the marinas – Lake Cumberland is known for houseboat rentals. They had all sizes, shapes and styles.
We are retired nurses with a desire to explore the United States, and beyond, in our Winnebago motor home. We are accompanied our three pups, Fanny May, Kaiser, and Rosie.
