So in January, Disney was next on our itinerary following Destin. My son, Casey works for Disney via ABC network in Chicago. This means he is given “x” amount of tickets for Disney entry each year. Always in the past, he had to be present with us in order for us to benefit from this wonderful perk. This year he couldn’t join us but told me there was a new kind of ticket that would gain us admission and all I had to do was to go to the box office for our tickets. Okay, then….sounds like a good plan to me. But then, I get this FaceTime call…..
Wow – a COMPLETE AND WONDERFUL surprise!!! In case you missed it on the video, Casey was bringing our 7 year old grandson, Garrett to join us at Disney! Garrett has always held a special spot in his heart for Casey, but this just elevated Casey to “hero” status for Garrett AND for me! (Needless to say….there was no “special” tickets for me to get at the box office – a very deliberate and carefully orchestrated plan! Good job, Casey)
We spent 5 wonderful (and exhausting) days together, arriving at the park some days at the crack of dawn in order to get on the newest and best rides and staying until the last firework exploded over the castle! 15 hours a day for 5 days, running to keep up with an excited 7 year old and my son, the Energizer Bunny!! But I wouldn’t have changed one minute of it!!! I will let the pictures help you to see some of the fun, wonder, and magic that we all experienced together! So let the fun begin…..
