Two great visits and three big special events….

So before we left on this present adventure, we had the pleasure of having a couple of visitors.  First, my sister Marj and I hosted our other 3 sisters, Donna, Bev and Lori for a week.  As always, we had a great time with lots of laughs and memory making events.  Along the way, we found lots of time to relax in the pool.  Marj’s daughter, Lisa and her husband Joe, let us use their 4 bedroom home (also in Island Walk where we both live in Naples).  It was awesome all being together with super comfortable accommodations.

The day they left, we got more visitors.  My daughter, Amanda and two grand kids, Kailey and Garrett, came to spend a couple of weeks.  We spent most of our time either in the pool or at the beach.

We also, went on an airboat ride and got some “close up” time with a couple of alligators!

Gramps and Garrett hung out at home one day, while Amanda, Kailey and I went on a shelling tour off of Marco Island.  We went with Sand Dollar Shelling company, who took us by boat to one of the Ten Thousand islands.  I’ve never seen so many shells in one place.  We found lots of treasures, we followed on the way back by dolphins and found buckets of awesome shells.  We had a fantastic time.

We also had a great time doing some acrylic paint pouring!  We may not be Picasso, but we sure had fun watching our creations develop!

There’s not much better than having family time together which brings me to the 3 big events.  Kailey had a trifecta this year!  She graduated from 8th grade (look out high school!), she was confirmed and she turned 14 years old on July 20th!!  What a memorable year for her and all of us!!
