White River KOA was okay to stay at for two nights. It was a bit off the main highway but wasn’t too difficult to get to.The sites were gravel, level and shaded, however, they were quite close together. We had 50 amp electrical service, sewer hookup and water. It was actually IN the Badlands National Park so you had to pay a fee to enter or have an America the Beautiful pass. So we easily toured through the Badlands and Wall Drug was about a 30 minute scenic drive.
There was a playground, camp store with groceries and a pool (but it was closed due to trying new chemicals). It had a bath house which we didn’t use. The campground hosted special “meals” on designated nights so we enjoyed pretty good pizza that night for a decent price.
When we arrived, there was a slight issue with our site, but measures were quickly taken to correct the situation to our satisfaction.
