I had no idea what I was getting into…..

Well, I think they call it needlepoint, which I’ve never done before.  But I wanted to make a pillow for our home in Florida, so when I ran across this kit, I bought it!  Wow….this is going to be a project!  I’ve been working on it for a few hours several nights now, and this is all the further I’ve gotten!  My goal is to be done with the piece by the time we get back home in October.  All you stitchers out there…am I right in thinking this is needlepoint?  I’ll include a picture periodically so you can watch my progress and offer encouraging words!

Monet Marj and Picasso Peggy have been hard at work.  Twice this week we sat outside in the beautiful sunshine, trying our hands at watercolor.  With little to no instruction, we have had so much fun laughing at one another as we try to create something worthy of being hung in our dog’s houses!!  We really don’t care as much of the outcome as we do spending some memorable and fun time together.  Hopefully, if we persevere, we will only get better……we are, however, on the hunt for some available classes at our upcoming locations.  (Keep your fingers crossed – and I will try to post more of our creations, if Marj will let me!)`

So a few days ago, we celebrated with Marj as she turned another year older!  We kind of had a restful day but we managed to get in a bit of shopping and had dinner out.  We wish you many more happy days, Marj!

Happy birthday, beautiful sister!

We have been here at Creekside Campground in New Meadows for 8 (long) days.  I say that because there is really nothing to do here and nothing here at the campground (see my reviews on “Campgrounds”).  Idaho was a last minute change due to the Canadian borders still being closed due to Covid and we really didn’t have much chance to thoroughly research this area.  The saving grace here was the tourist town, McCall, ID, about 15 minutes north.  We spent a fair amount of time dabbling through the shops there and even found ourselves doing still another art project.  Yes, Marj and I again, tried our hands at fused glass – again, NO instruction but a couple of hours of fun and laughs!!

NOTHING LIKE AN AVALANCHE TO CHANGE PLANS A BIT!  WE’RE LUCKY, THE ROAD IS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN BY MORNING!!

Have I mentioned that we have been having some fantastic meals?  Both Howie and Larry recently received Blackstone grills, a great investment if you want a break from the kitchen as the guys just can’t stay away from grilling!  They’ll grill anything…..from breakfast to dinner and everything in between!

Our plan is to hit the road in the morning at about 8:00 am.  We will be driving just under 300 miles north to Coeur d’Alene, ID, where we will be staying for 5 days.  I think we have some winding mountain roads ahead of us which will put Marj and I on the edge of our seats – luckily, Larry and Howie are good drivers with steady hands and nerves of steel!  Even though, we pray for a safe trip as we hit the Happy Trails!

    1. We bought a villa/duplex in the same community/subdivision as Marj and Larry – we are literally about 4 minutes from one another. I’ve never had the blessing of living close to a sister so this is a wonderful thing! (Hopefully, Marj and Larry think so too!) haha
