It was a beautiful drive to Coeur d’Alene. We drove through miles and miles of wheat fields and through the mountains of Idaho, reaching an elevation of about 4300 feet. From a distance, you could see wheat fields at the very top of the approaching mountains. Once on top, we were amazed to see wheat fields flourishing everywhere! These wheat farmers mean business!!
The town of Coeur d’Alene is a beautiful area with an awesome lake nestled between mountains. This is quite a little metropolis with a population over 40K. As in any town of this size, there are stores of every kind – a great place to catch up on your shopping but not a lot more to do.
So, Howie spent much of each day working on line. Unfortunately, due to the poor WIFI, he had to drive 20 minutes and work from the nearest McDonalds. Marj and I entertained ourselves once again by painting. This time we painted ROCKS! Look under the “Art” tab to see our beautiful creations……okay, that may be a stretch. We actually watercolored a picture but we both threw them immediately in the garbage can. It’s only up from here, folks!
Tomorrow we head out once again. We’ll be leaving Idaho and heading for the big skies of Montana. We are super excited to be spending the next 11 days in Glacier National Park. Our weather has been excellent since we hit the road on July 7th – praying for continued safety and good weather as we once again, hit the Happy Trails!!
These r great! Lov to read about all your fun adventures!! Thanks for taking the time to share with all of us! Enjoy and b safe!
