So you might be asking why we are staying at two different campgrounds in the little town of Hungry Horse – a very fair question. When we could not get into Canada due to border closure, we had to scramble to fill in the almost 5 week void. We decided to stay in Glacier for 2 weeks but could not find any campground openings for that timeframe. Hence, two different campgrounds.
This campground was literally 1 minute from the previous RV park…..a lot to move for such a short move. But, one does what one must when on the road during a pandemic when every camping family is in the same boat doing the same thing as you! (Whew, that was a mouthful!)
First impression…..awesome!
Anyway, this campground is also built into a hillside – with maybe an even steeper grade than the last. Fortunately, we had full hook up, pull through sites toward the front of the campground . The sites a little deeper in were nestled here and there, with steeper grades and somewhat narrow passage. One needed to be an expert driver to maneuver a big rig into those sites!
We had been told that we were close to a WIFI amplifier so WIFI should be good. Unfortunately, WIFI was sketchy at best. Howie was quite frustrated trying to work from home – but he got ‘er done.

Gorgeous bathrooms…..best EVER SEEN! Spotless and inviting decor. Kudos to the owners/management! The grounds were well maintained and the pond was inviting and very picturesque! The gravel sites were very level and there was actually a fire pit on the ground! Smores and weinies, anyone? Cute store with basic supplies and some souvenirs, blankets and T-shirts. They also had ICE CREAM! (That automatically makes them a 5 star in my book!)
