A little bit more about Glacier National Park before moving on…….

It has been an absolute blessing to be traveling through this great nation that we get to call home. We have been on the road now for about 7 weeks and we have seen so much breathtaking scenery – it’s hard to keep track of all the beauty along the way. God certainly is the supreme artist and has an amazing imagination.

One of the highlights this far has been Glacier National Park. Not seeing a lot of wildlife was insignificant compared to the overwhelming beauty of this land. The best way to describe what we experienced is through the photos we took along the way – I hope you enjoy the show!

This and the following group of photos was my favorite spot in Glacier located very close to Logan’s Pass. It was a babbling brook surrounded by fragrant pines and fantastic views – it is called “Lunch Creek” – maybe because it is an ideal place for a picnic! The water was icy but it felt awesome on very tired feet!

Another favorite spot in Glacier was at McDonald Falls. More icy water and amazing views!

Wild Goose Island, a famous viewpoint, is on St. Mary’s Lake and is near the East entrance to Glacier National Park. (It’s that itty bitty island in the middle of the beautiful lake.)

And finally, still more stunning views that we saw between the West and East entrances.

So sadly we said goodbye to Glacier National Park and prepare to head to Yellowstone – we’re excited and hopeful that we may see more wildlife around the bend….until then, HAPPY TRAILS!!!
