Speegleville Park, Waco, TX

Now this is our kind of campground! We have mostly stayed in private campgrounds, which has it’s benefits, but we definitely enjoy more privacy, quiet, and space between campers. That’s exactly what we got here at Speegleville Park. Instead of a pool, it has beautiful Lake Waco. Instead of traffic noise, it has the sound of crickets lulling you to sleep. And instead of our awning touching the neighbors, it’s a hike to Marj and Larrys. In the evenings, we enjoyed seeing the deer in our “backyard” and we also saw this little guy.

The sites were large, gravel, somewhat flat and they each had their own pavilion! There was no WIFI and we only had electric and water hook up. There was adequate over the air channels on TV and our cell phones worked just fine. AND…..it was a GREAT price!
