We traveled on Interstate 10 on our way to New Orleans. It took us right through the path of Hurricane Delta which hit Louisiana hard just 3 days earlier. Especially the area of Lake Charles, LA, who were still recovering from Hurricane Laura which devastated the town in August. Here is some of what we saw in the aftermath.

We can not imagine what these poor people are feeling or going through ….our understanding is that many are now homeless and trying find their way back to a sense of “normal”. Thankfully we saw several signs of help coming as we met many “convoys” of utility trucks traveling to that area. We also saw crews working to clean up the devastation.
Our hearts and prayers go out to this community and state.
So sad! Thanks for the pics. We often forget that there is still devastation in areas after the storm has passed and the news has moved on to the next big story.
