Sarasota Sunny South, Sarasota, Florida

Let me start by saying that all four of us agree this is not really a campground, but is more of a seasonal resort. Most of the sites here are permanent “homes” with a few transient sites. That said, this is an extremely nice place to stay! The grounds are immaculate as are all the amenities. The pool, bathrooms, office, dog park and clubhouse are all meticulously maintained. I would have to say that what is lacking here is trees and grass at the sites as well as a camp store. However, the location is just 9 minutes from Siesta Key Beach and is central to all sorts of stores and restaurants.

We would definitely recommend a stay here. From May till October, you can’t beat the price! For a weeks stay, FULL hook-up, we paid $200. A month stay is $680. Of course, the prices are substantially more during “season”.

As far as staff is concerned, Lindsay is the only person we’ve seen in the office. She was always friendly and competent. It was she that suggested staying for a week as we originally were going to stay just 5 days. By doing so, we went from paying $300 for 5 days, compared to going with a week for $200!

HOWIE’S QUIPS AND QUOTES: Great WIFI, terrible Verizon cell service, great cable and over the air channels! The pool side Tiki bar was closed due to covid. A short walk to a very nice coded entry enclosed dog park with a covered sitting area.
