This is a fantastic county park campground. It is large with multiple aspects to the park, including a campground. We were lucky enough to be assigned a “buddy site” so we shared a large site with Moritz’s. We enjoyed full hook up with considerable privacy but the sites were a mix of sand and gravel.

This wasn’t too bad until tropical storm Elsa came through. Our phones alerted us about 1 am of the storm which was spawning several tornados in our area so we spent the next 2 hours in the cinder block bathrooms until she blew out of the area. We did get to wade through a few small lakes to get back to our dry RV’s! Thankfully, no harm done.

This campground had very nice bathrooms (which you just saw in the preceding photos) and a decent store. The people were friendly and helpful. Across from the campground was a super nice water park which you did have to pay to use. It also had a beautiful playground with a shaded picnic area.

There were acres of beautiful grounds and a large pond. Marj and I were fascinated watching the fish jump 4-5 feet out of the water. We were a little confused by their behavior until we spotted this guy along the shoreline and he had a FISH in his mouth!

What we did not like about this campground was the lack of WiFi (again)! Otherwise, it was great and we would definitely come back to this facility.
