I think this is the third time we’ve been to the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia and I just don’t tire of it’s charm. The live oak lined streets with their spanish moss cascading down are a welcome site each and every time. The people here always prove themselves among some of the friendliest and respectful that we encounter in our travels ….. there’s something about the “yes, ma’am’s and yes sir’s” that just warms the heart.
Again, we indulged in a guided tour, this time on one of the “hop on/hop off” trolley cars. I think my favorite is seeing the gorgeous mansions and homes lining the streets. The squares found throughout the city (22 in all) offer shade and charm along the tour route. Most are centered by a statue of historical importance to the city.
