Shady Knoll in Brewster proved to be pretty centrally located on Cape Cod. It was about an hours drive to Provincetown on the tip of the “Horn”, about 45 minutes to Sandwich and about 30 minutes to Chatham. Brewster itself had many attributes, including some interesting stores and antique shops. It’s in Brewster that Howie experienced his first Lobster Roll which he gave a thumbs up.

The campground itself was fairly nice and located right on Main Street. There was no pool but the sights were quite level with a sand and gravel foundation – not so nice. There was a surprising sense of privacy in each site as there was a good amount of foliage between. There were bath houses that were quite clean with laundry attached to each. There was a small playground and a camp store but not much more for amenities. We would stay here again if ever on Cape Cod.
