Speegleville Park, Waco, TX

Now this is our kind of campground! We have mostly stayed in private campgrounds, which has it’s benefits, but we definitely enjoy more privacy, quiet, and space between campers. That’s exactly what we got here at Speegleville Park. Instead of a pool, it has beautiful Lake Waco. Instead of traffic noise, it has the soundContinue reading “Speegleville Park, Waco, TX”

Top of the Hill RV Resort & Cabins, Boerne, TX (Alamo/SanAntonio)

We like this place!! First of all, it’s been a while since we’ve seen green grass (been in the desert too long) so our first impression was favorable. It is as it states, and the campground DOES sit at the top of a hill so you have a good view. However, Interstate 10 runs rightContinue reading “Top of the Hill RV Resort & Cabins, Boerne, TX (Alamo/SanAntonio)”

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

We had quite a surprise when we arrived…..Carlsbad Caverns is 45 minutes away!!! The name is a bit deceiving. Also, the swimming pool is closed (no New Mexico pools were inspected this year) and the restaurant is closed (another Covid strike). The sites are gravel and level but you must watch where you walk dueContinue reading “Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico”

Taos Valley RV Park, Taos, New Mexico

This campground was just OK…..not really remarkable in any direction. It was all gravel and dirt but the pull through sites were level. There was a somewhat dilapidated picnic table at each site. The location was decent – located on the edge of town so it was close to attractions and shopping. WIFI was nonexistentContinue reading “Taos Valley RV Park, Taos, New Mexico”

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

We definitely enjoyed staying at this campground. It’s set up on a ridge overlooking Santa Fe. The owner has decorated the campground with works of metal art as well as antique cars, trucks, and machinery. The sites are mainly pull through, full hook up, level gravel with beautiful cement patios equipped with a patio tableContinue reading “Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico”

Distant Drums RV, Camp Verde, AZ

This is a truly wonderful campground. It is located off the highway, so easy off and on. It is about a 20 minute drive to Sedona. The cement pad had a slight incline and the entire park was very well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It had a dog run and aContinue reading “Distant Drums RV, Camp Verde, AZ”

Trailer Village RV Park, Grand Canyon, AZ

We all definitely liked this campground. When we pulled in to our sites, we were greeted by elk roaming the park. The sites were not completely level, but they were really nice cement pads. There were trees throughout the park – we were parked under a mature oak tree so we were pelted with acornsContinue reading “Trailer Village RV Park, Grand Canyon, AZ”

Page Lake Powell RV Park, Page, AZ

We were at this campground just one night but we liked the campground. It was in a good location and the gravel site was flat. There was minimal shade. The people in the office were friendly and helpful. There was no camp store but they did have an indoor pool and hot tub. They alsoContinue reading “Page Lake Powell RV Park, Page, AZ”

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

This campground was OK. It was in the middle of town so it was easy to get to stores, restaurants and gas stations. The shopping here was OK, the best being a Trading Post. Don’t eat at the casino….the food was not good. The sites were gravel but were flat lithesome shade in the backContinue reading “Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado”
