Well, there’s not much here…..the campground is small with quite a few permanent sites. Our pull through site was gravel with grass and partial shade. The sites were VERY close together – when out, our awning was just a few inches from Marj and Larry’s kitchen window! No WIFI, minimal cell service and no cableContinue reading “Creekside RV and Campground, New Meadows, ID”

Oregon Trail Campground, Twin Falls, ID
If you enjoy gravel, then this is the campground for you! The sites were very close together and there was no grass to be found unless you walked to the dog run. This made for a very dusty experience – coupled with only a few trees, our air conditioners really worked just to keep up.Continue reading “Oregon Trail Campground, Twin Falls, ID”
Yellowstone RV Park at Mack’s Inn, Island Park, ID
This campground offered us a back in, full hook up, gravel site with a slight incline. There were lots of pine trees with decent space between sites. We had no WiFI but our cell signal was decent. On arrival, we were met by a host in a golf cart who escorted us to our site.Continue reading “Yellowstone RV Park at Mack’s Inn, Island Park, ID”
Billings KOA, Billings, Montana
Interestingly, this was the very first KOA in the USA! It was very nice, offering all the amenities you could ask for, including a good size pool and FREE miniature golf! The office was good size and had a very large camp store with groceries, clothes and souvenirs. The sites were gravel but they wereContinue reading “Billings KOA, Billings, Montana”
Medora Campground, Medora, N.D.
This campground had level, shaded, and gravel sites. The full hook up sites were VERY narrow, so much so, that our sewer hook up was in the neighbor’s yard by their picnic table – YUCK! The WIFI was decent, but there was no over the air TV. The best thing about this campground was thatContinue reading “Medora Campground, Medora, N.D.”
Holy Smoke Campground, Keystone, S.D.
Holy Smoke is the campground we stayed in by Mt. Rushmore. This sight did not offer any bathroom facilities but had full hookup. The sites were gravel and not level – there was some shade for some of the sights. It was right off a busy highway and you could hear traffic noise. There wasContinue reading “Holy Smoke Campground, Keystone, S.D.”
White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota
White River KOA was okay to stay at for two nights. It was a bit off the main highway but wasn’t too difficult to get to.The sites were gravel, level and shaded, however, they were quite close together. We had 50 amp electrical service, sewer hookup and water. It was actually IN the BadlandsContinue reading “White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota”
This is my new category where I will be describing, then rating the campgrounds where we have stayed……..look for the “campground” tab!
Each campground will be rated on six categories: 1) Amenities; 2) Cleanliness; 3) Helpfulness and Friendliness; 4) Site features; 5) Privacy; and 6) Connectivity (WIFI/Phone/TV). We will use a 5 star scoring system for each category, then average them all together to get an over-all score. I will also include the approximate cost perContinue reading “This is my new category where I will be describing, then rating the campgrounds where we have stayed……..look for the “campground” tab!”
