Sadly, there is one more event to catch you up on. On February 24th, we said goodbye to our precious companion for almost 16 years, Fannie May.
Fannie was blind and deaf and we feared she was living a terrified life. She was confused most of the time and she spent most of the day sleeping inside her “room” (an open dog crate). She showed no interest in playing, going outside, or simply hanging with us on the sofa. Her quality of life was gone and we just knew it was time.
We have many awesome memories of her – there was no better ball player who ever walked the face of the earth. She wanted to play “ball” for hours until we were completely worn out! She would actually “catch” the ball as it approached using her two front paws. We are thankful that she was able to be part of our rambling’ journey in Junebug and part of our lives. She was very intelligent and a really good girl!
She gave us years of happiness, fun, joy and unconditional love. We miss her!
