Virginia Beach, Virginia

Yes, we are making our way north….we have crossed another border and we are now in….

What a busy place! Maybe we’re just not used to traffic or high population, or maybe we’re driving during rush hour, but it seems like there are a LOT of people here.

Today we drove to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk where we saw the famous bronze statue by the sea of Neptune. He was quite impressive, much bigger than I expected!

Of course, we did a little shopping along the boardwalk. Downtown was fun and it was as I imagined a tourist seacoast town would look. The topper was finding a corn dog stand and three of us will tell you they were delicious!

You never know who you might see on a street corner…..

And then, of course, the pier and beach……

All the walking and heat wore the guys out so while they rested at home, Marj and I hit another recommended tourist spot….an antique mall. We spent about 3 hours here and only got through half of it! It was big and so much fun!

In the morning our little vagabond will be on the road once again. We’re all excited to be in our great nation’s capital. While we’re in Washington, D.C., beside doing the expected touristy things, we will also get to visit Marj and Larry’s grand daughter, Grace. We’ll be posting more about that in the next few days.

Until then……Happy Trails!!!!
